Les Georgettes is a brand created by Maison Altesse. In 1905, in the heart of the Marais district of Paris, at 62 rue Charlot, Marius Legros, a talented young craftsman, created his jewellery business. In 1912, he joined his family in Saint-Martin-De-Valamas in the Ardche valley, where he opened a jewellery factory. In 1917, his brother Georges opened the Bijoux GL workshops in the neighbouring town of Cheylard. For a century, the Legros brothers’ two companies grew side by side, becoming France’s leading producers of gold-plated jewellery, before eventually merging to form Maison Altesse.

Today, Maison Altesse, the last major jewellery manufacturer in France, employs more than 200 artisans and sells modern and affordable jewellery all over the world, renowned for their exceptional quality.
